Something I’ve been learning recently is about preparing for my future self. Getting things ready for myself so that when a fast-paced situation comes, I’ll thrive.

I’m in a fast-paced season, so whenever I have down time I’m learning to spend that time planning ahead instead of “relaxing”. While it’s good to relax, I can plan for it!

Yesterday, I hung out with some sweet kiddos and then came home and did homework. Around 5 PM, I was feeling pretty tired so I told myself I was going to take a nap for a few minutes.

Imagine my surprise when I woke up and it was 7 AM!

I was reminded of Psalm 4:8- “I will lie down in peace and sleep, for though I am alone, O Lord, you will keep me safe.”

God’s awesome. Sometimes I get worried and stressed (okay a lot of the times), but I know that God will give me rest and will take care of me.
